I have this airfilter that came on my alfa when I bought it. But it’s not the stock one and I’ve never seen another like it.

Kinja'd!!!

The elements sit inside those slots

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

the elements appear to be nothing more than wire mesh inside

Kinja'd!!!

No markings except for the made in italy sticker on the top left.

If it helps any It was attached to two solex sidedraft carbs.

these are old pictures btw if you guys need anymore i’ll take some

Did they come with those Solex carbs as standard? Because otherwise it could maybe have been part of a standard to solex conversion kit

If you can get your hands on a paper K&N catalog, they have all sorts of different sized filters in there. I mean all different sizes. I’m not saying that you necessarily get a K&N, just that the catalog could be very helpful. Just go to a parts store and ask if you can browse their catalog. Look in the section of the catalog with the filters by dimensions instead of application. When I worked in parts people would come in with all sorts of crazy filters and custom applications. Some of he more commercially focused parts stores have Hastings filter catalogs, too.

Nope US models had MFI and euro models had webers with a different style filter.

Could of been a conversion kit for something though

Yeesh I wouldn’t like to run a road engine with that little filtration. Maybe for a race engine that gets torn down and rebuilt a couple of times a year, but I’d get something better on it post-haste.

I did actually! Took me and a friend almost a whole day to install.

(someone competent and with the right parts could do it in 1 hour)

No. As someone with Weber experience you did OK.
